An Open Letter To The American Media
Instead of En Media Res, begin with En Media Pace! This is a plea for the American Media to achieve, the plan of Greater Intelligence, with no sense of being or purveying the paradigm of passively imparting the ego feeding opnions and opnion broadcasting of the military industrial complex!
Instead of touting triviality pablum to the stuporification and mental crumbling of the American populace, I challenge local news stations, national news programs, TV sitcoms and dramas, magazines, and newspapers and radio and internet media,(arranged somewhat in order of need to improve from more to already quite good), to achieve a seldom realized goal: to elevate instead of degrade the general populace!
This would be easily accomplished if substance took the place of fluff and huff- that is to say, if instead of mindlessly and endlessly purveying negativity of stories of crime and entertainment figures, and the military-industrial complex, to instead search for stories and news from local artists' galleries, literary achievements even bohemian, coverage of non-popular music such as classical and new age; and include psychological topics to heal and help with self- improvement, such as psychological news on how to heal post-traumatic stress disorder or low self esteem among young girls- there are dozens of new individual disorders the treatment of which could be presented positively without negative, "doctor" scenes; or, self- improvement topics such as better nutrition, emotional and psychic health, how exercise improves mood, how to care for quantities of pets to rescue these innocent ones; and of course the environmental coverage and local grassroots notice of activist networks and community groups- what their mission is, how to help them, how to make beneficial gifts to the physical ecosystems instead of just draining them!
No system of social uplift would be complete without the complete indoctrination of the uselessness, and energy-wasting nature of breeding and raising excess children who then passively only exist to attack nature: worldwide population lowering information would be paramount!
So- no more trivia America and one more note: Beauty, the Ideal Revered by the ancient democracies of Greece as a Paragon of Perfection of Being and Artistic Accomplishment, has now been by the American media moved in a 180 degree condition, as Beauty is now used as addiction of advertising and infomercials etcetera! to promote old boys networks' wealth. Where is the respect for decent women?
America don't go down the cosmic drain! Why don't you demonstrate that you can achieve an higher; angelic; consciousness? Thank you to the angels whom help clean up this world!
What the World Needs- New Now!
What the world needs is for more people to plant trees. More Johnny Appleseeds are needed and fewer entrepeneurs.
What the world needs is for more cities to stop giving out tree cutting contracts; we need as much biomass as possible and this is more important than saving someone from a dead branch.
What the world needs is for more people to allow their shrubbery to grow in their yards, and not to prune so much, and for more people to cut their lawns once a month instead of once a week, in order to save gasoline from going into the atmosphere.
What the world needs is for more couples to remain childless all their lives, in every country especially in developing countries. This would cut down on the divorce rate extremely, because the stress of child raising causes divorce, in one half of the United States' couples.
What the world needs is more people to give money to organizations that buy up land to save it from development. And also what the world needs is more land set aside for city parks, each with many trees and with ponds for waterfowl.
What the world needs is for more people to feed songbirds and wild creatures and to let the wolves and bears take over the hunters' jobs; no more hunting!
What the world needs is more mass transit systems that are chic and user friendly, and more cities with half or more population that use the systems, such as San Francisco. Buses are outdated and not the answer; how about minivans? (Volkswagen buses?)
What the world needs is to turn its landfills into power plants, and to burn the trash old and new for each city's electricity needs. Also the cities should turn the landfill garbage into fuel for cars, instead of taking up land for a waste of potential energy.
What the world needs is more cats neutered and fewer dogs who eat more meat than cats and who are thus more environmentally unfriendly.
What the world needs is for more people to open their windows instead of using air conditioning and for more people to just put up with the heat. What the world needs is for more people to use their furnaces less and not to overheat their houses, instead to dress warmly as people used to have to.
What the world needs is to grow more hemp and to use it to replace trees for paper, clothing, and medicine and so forth.
What the world needs is for more people to buy recycled products, and for more governments to demand by law that products should have a recycled content.
What the world needs is for clothing to be manufactured locally in every country, and to use environmentally friendly methods of treating the cotton and other fabrics, so that they do not become toxified so that they will not cause problems to people who buy them.
What the world needs is for more people to think positively instead of negatively, especially the journalists and talk show hosts and movie makers and politicians, and for more people to follow Jesus in their everyday instead of the devil.
What the world needs is for more people to read classic poetry and to read the religious books of other cultures and to attend other churches and religious ceremonies of other religions, once in a while.
What the world needs is for people to buy less and to buy smarter and to buy more books from a variety of authors not just the bestsellers, and to buy books from their local authors.
What the world needs is for people to watch television less, to smoke tobacco less and to drink alcohol less, and to exercise more. What the world needs is for people to learn critical thinking skills and to apply them towards saving the environment and their own health.
These are just a few thoughts on how to save the world.
